Partner Terms

Last Updated: December 2025

The "Plain English" Summary

  • We are the marketers, you are the pros. We find the work; you do the work.
  • You must be legal. You confirm you have valid insurance and provincial security licenses.
  • You own the job. Any contract for installation is between you and the customer. We are not a party to it.
  • Treat leads well. You agree to contact leads quickly and professionally.
  • Liability. If something breaks or goes wrong during an install, that is your responsibility, not CCTV.ca's.

1. Overview

This Installer Partnership Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between CCTV.ca ("Company", "we") and the installation company or individual ("Partner", "you") applying to join the CCTV.ca Network. By submitting your application, you agree to these terms.

2. Relationship of Parties

You are an Independent Contractor. Nothing in this Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, employer-employee, or agency relationship between CCTV.ca and you. You have no authority to bind CCTV.ca to any contract or representation.

3. Partner Obligations & Warranties

To receive leads from CCTV.ca, you represent and warrant that:

  • Licensing: You hold all valid provincial security licenses required to install CCTV and surveillance equipment in your service area (e.g., Ontario Private Security and Investigative Services Act).
  • Insurance: You maintain Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance of at least $2,000,000 CAD.
  • Compliance: You comply with all WSIB/WCB (Worker's Compensation) requirements.
  • Workmanship: You perform services in a workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards.

4. Lead Management

  • Response Time: You agree to contact leads provided by us within 24 business hours (ideally within 2 hours).
  • Data Privacy: You agree to use the Lead's personal information solely for the purpose of providing a quote. You may not resell, distribute, or add the Lead to unrelated marketing lists without their consent, in compliance with PIPEDA.
  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee a specific volume of leads or that leads will result in a sale.

5. Indemnification & Liability

This is a material part of this Agreement.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CCTV.ca, its officers, directors, and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Any injury, death, or property damage caused by your installation or services.
  • Any breach of your warranties regarding licensing or insurance.
  • Any dispute between you and a customer introduced through our Service.

6. Non-Circumvention

If CCTV.ca introduces you to a commercial client, you agree to treat that client as a CCTV.ca referral. If you are on a "Commission per Close" model, you agree to honestly report closed jobs. Falsifying closing reports will result in immediate termination from the network.

7. Termination

CCTV.ca reserves the right to terminate your membership in the network at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to: poor customer feedback, lapse in insurance coverage, or failure to respond to leads.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
